Do you want to know what happens behind the scene of the West Metro Recycling Centre ? If you do this is the tour for you. Register for your FREE ticket as spaces are limited.
On this behind-the-scenes tour, you will find out what happens to their waste once it’s picked up, and learn about the recycling and recovery processes for many items such as cardboard, e-waste, and hazardous waste like paint and batteries. You will also explore the history of landfills and waste management in WA. You will follow the tour allowing for question time and a morning tea.
Please note the following:
- The tour does involve walking around an active site outdoors, so a reasonable level of fitness is required by attendees.
- To bring: Please wear enclosed shoes, a hat and sunscreen. WMRC will provide a high-vis for all attendees.
- Address: West Metro Recycling Centre – 60 Lemnos Street, Shenton Park, with entry via Brockway Rd.
- Parking: As there is limited parking on site, it would be great if attendees could carpool. When arriving for the tour, the staff at the gatehouse will let you know where to park.
