Hello, my name is Machi Ishida (石田真知), a percussionist and marimba player from Japan, starting my new life chapter here in Perth!  

I’m so excited to announce my new percussion and music workshop! 🥁

These percussion sessions are designed to be relaxed, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone, regardless of musical experience.

The aim is to create a warm and welcoming space where everyone can enjoy music at their own pace.

We will use simple percussion instruments and body percussion to explore rhythm, play together, and share the joy of making music. Percussion, in particular, allows us to feel joy in a very direct and physical way.

I have been surrounded by music since I was born, and through my musical journey, there is one thing I feel deeply grateful for: the ability to experience the beauty of sound and music.

Listening to sound and creating music can touch our emotions, like a language beyond words. Through sound, we can also feel natural connections and a sense of resonance with others. 

These are truly beautiful experiences, and I would love to share them with you.

I truly look forward to sharing these musical moments with you!
